FHE at the Smith's Ranch

Amelia, Emily and Tricia Smith and Paden taking the hay to feed the cattle.

Larisa loved riding Sunshine, and told me she wants a real horse that can walk and eat for her birthday. Uh oh! Wish we could, but I don't think it will happen. Thankfully her birthday is a ways away and she is constantly coming up with new ideas for her wish list.
The kids got to feed the cows and horse, but Larisa and Amelia thought their tongues were GROSS! Love this pose of Larisa!
Paden, Amelia, Larisa and Emily all had such a blast jumping from haystack to haystack. Who needs a swingset when we can go buy one of these to climb on?
Those cows meant business when they were eating, but these little girls sure spooked them into giving them some room.

A few months ago, we had a YW fund raiser and our family won a bid for a night out at the ranch of a family that is in our ward. Last night we were able to have FHE there and we all got nice and dirty! We were on tornado watch, and saw some "storm chasers" parked out in some nearby fields, but it was so much fun and the weather stayed cool and safe for us. Someday we hope to have land and animals for our kids to enjoy and work hard with.

Yay, looks like fun! Reminds me of Todd's Dad's farm...feeding the cows and jumping round bales of hay. So glad the weather stayed great for you. Also, I have never seen such a long tongue sticking out of a horse's mouth like a dog...weird!
